Being a new homeowner!!!!!!

My husband and I bought our first home in October. The house is in Copiague, a small town in Suffolk county. It was built in 1960 and has not been renovated or upgraded since then, so my husband and I decided it was time. What was supposed to be a simple renovation turned into a 3 month project!!! We tore walls down and put new ones up. We changed doors, windows, built new bedrooms in what was once an attic and completely renovated the kitchen and bathroom. The house is looking beautiful and all the work we put into it was well worth it. Unfortunately we still have to finish the basement and at some point down the line renovate the exterior!! Being a homeowner is definitely a lot of work. It doesn't just stop at the renovations. We have a whole list of bills that we didn't have before. It's taking quite a while but we're doing our best to get accustomed to it!!
